Bobby Ivanchev and Zaki Sokolov started the duet Avenue in 1989.
Their debut album – “Questions”, was released in February, 1995. The musical critics in Bulgaria have defined the style of the album as a combination of pop-rock music and the romance of the 90’s. The ballade “Runaway” has become a hit, and the video clip of the song has had a long run in the TV charts for more than 56 weeks. Until the end of 1996 “Questions” had 35 000 copies sold, which has made the record the best-selling debut album of a Bulgarian artist or band for the 90’s.
The second album of the duet is called “Labyrinth”. It was released in 1997 and was honored the best album of the year by the “Horizont”, radio station of the Bulgarian National Radio.
“Remixes” – from 1999 was collaboration between the duet and Nikolay Madjarov – Faicheto from “Hearts of Tibet”, who has remixed the most popular songs from the previous two records of Avenue.
In June, 2002, the forth, self-titled album was released. Once again the tandem, fully supported by the music producer Dimitar Paskalev – David (also worked with Avenue on previous records “Questions” 1995, “Labyrinth”1998), succeeded in producing 12 new, original songs.
The artistic experience and creative quests of the duet have become the bases of the later established by them music company AveNew Productions.
